Every tree planted here is an act of remembrance.

A living forest, open to the future, where nature becomes a school.

A forest that teaches to look at the land in a different way

A stone's throw from the Palacio de Canedo, in the heart of the Bierzo, stretches a forest that was not born by chance. It is a forest thought, planted and cared for with the same conviction with which Prada has been defending this land for decades.

Here, every tree has a name. And each species, a story. The Educational Forest is a living lesson in biodiversity, respect and legacy. It brings together more than 50 species, most of them native to El Bierzo, along with others that complete this landscape as if it were a rural botanical garden. It is signposted, open to the public and designed to teach without artifice: walking, watching, listening.

It is promoted by the Prada A Tope Foundation as part of its commitment to caring for the environment. Because planting a tree is not only an ecological act: it is a declaration of principles.

Taking care of a tree is taking care of time.

Much more than trees,
a living classroom in the open air

This forest is not only visited, it is understood.

Each planted species is identified and accompanied by accessible explanatory signs, designed to arouse curiosity and respect for local biodiversity. It is a simple and profound way to learn to look at the landscape with different eyes.

The Didactic Forest has become a space open to learning and ecological awareness. Here, students, families and walkers understand why protecting an ecosystem is not an option, but a shared responsibility.

Each season of the year transforms it. Every walk teaches something new. Every tree planted leaves a lesson that will grow over time.

These are some of our trees.
Come visit us and discover the history of each one of them.

You can tour the Educational Forest on your own, at your own pace, any day of the year. Or you can book a guided tour to learn more about its history, species and values.

Guided tours are especially designed for educational centers, associations or organized groups that want to make the walk an even more enriching experience.

There is no entrance fee, but each visit adds up: to knowledge, to respect for nature and to the legacy we want to leave.
